State Farm, one of the most renowned car insurance providers in the U.S., has made the decision to form a program to advocate driving safety. One of the most common causes of deaths for teenagers is automobile accidents.Young drivers are now shown by the State Farm Celebrate My Drive program the proper usage of 2n2. 2n2 stands for “two eyes on the road and two hands on the steering wheel”. Sadly enough, some drives do not focus on the road and instead talk on the phone or fall asleep behind the wheel.
Additionally, Celebrate My Drive pushes for seat belt use, staying in the speed limit, using the mirrors, and avoiding the phone while on the road. “As a leader in auto safety, we feel Celebrate My Drive has proved to be a positive way to help educate teens and their parents about teen driver safety,”explained Marketing Vice President for State Farm, Leif Roll.
The country music group, The Band Perry, teamed with State Farm to promote safe driving and celebrating the lives of teens across the country. “We have such great memories of when we first got our driver’s licenses and we love that Celebrate My Drive is such a positive program that supports new teen drivers,” said members of The Band Perry.
