The first thing that people may think of when they hear “Australia” may be kangaroos and koala bears. While they may be cute and fuzzy creatures, there is more that Australia has to offer. In Sydney Australia, there is an art event known as the Sydney Festival 2013. The Sydney Festival is more than just an art event, it is a place where many art enthusiasts, friends, and family can enjoy the things made by musicians, visual artists, actors, and much more. It is summertime in January, which is a good thing since in North America, it is freezing cold during this time. Between January 5 to January 27, the Sydney Festival provides entertainment that even children can enjoy.
Theatre performances at the festival include: Kunst Rock, Cantina, School Dance, The Peony Pavilion, and many more. Check out the amazing Honda Festival Garden, a Sydney summer highlight with theatrical and musical amusements as well as a place to enjoy your alcoholic drinks. The Honda Festival Garden is for people 18 and over and will serve a wide selection of food and drinks and has the Late In the Garden venue after the Garden closes. It’s a time to listen to great music, dancing and party! For more information, please visit http://www.sydneyfestival.org.au. You will have the time of your life!
