Heart Rock, in the Valley of Enchantment is one of Crestline’s natural wonders. Heart Rock Waterfall is also known as Seeley Creek falls. It is a pretty amazing little spot.
Seeley Creek falls is known not so much for its tiny 20ft waterfall but its nearly perfect heart-shaped depression right next to it. It’s one of those features you marvel at because of how such a man-made shape could exist amidst the chaos and seemingly randomness of Mother Nature.
The pools below the falls are perfect for swimming and in warmer times make for an inviting dip, but be careful on the slippery rocks. Heart Rock will end up becoming a favorite destination, and many who visit the falls return season after season.
A waterfall often flows year-round next to the heart, and when Seeley Creek is full, the waterfall also flows through the heart. The heart is a few feet wide, a couple feet deep, and surprisingly symmetrical.
The heart itself looks small in the photos, but could easily hold two adults in each of its halves. All in all this is a beautiful hike that is short enough for anyone to do but rewarding enough that you will enjoy your time there.
