Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park is a state park of California, United States, on the Big Sur coast. A main feature of the park is McWay Falls, which drops over a cliff 80 feet (24 m) into the Pacific Ocean. The park is also home to 300-foot (90 m) redwoods which are over 2,500 years old.

Fjaðrárgljúfur is a canyon in south east Iceland which is up to 100 m deep and about 2 kilometres long, with the Fjaðrá river flowing through it. It is located near the Ring Road, not far from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.

The canyon was created by progressive erosion by flowing water from glaciers through the rocks and palagonite over millennia. There is a walking route along the eastern edge, and it is possible to walk up through the canyon, though then one must wade across the river.
